On Monday, Deputy Secretary General of Cambodia's Board of Investment, HE Suon Sophal, met with representatives from CHN ENERGY to discuss potential projects exceeding US$1 billion. The discussions focused on hydropower, solar energy, and the strategic advantages Cambodia offers for renewable energy development.

Both parties expressed strong interest in collaborating on these eco-friendly ventures. Cambodia's potential as a regional hub for clean energy projects was highlighted, with investments in this sector considered highly attractive.

HE Suon Sophal welcomed CHN ENERGY's substantial investment intentions and assured full support from the Council for the Development of Cambodia. He emphasized the growing global shift towards renewable energy and the of this project with Cambodia's Investment Law (Article 24).

The Deputy Secretary General further advised close collaboration with relevant ministries and institutions to ensure the proposed projects contribute to Cambodia's Power Sector Development Master Plan (2022-2040).
