PHNOM PENH – April 23, 2024 – The Cambodian Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training hosted a delegation from Kojima Holdings (KOJIMA HOLDINGS) on Monday, led by Managing Director Mr. Takeshi Okami. The visit focused on progress updates regarding the upcoming Khmer Village project in Japan.

KOJIMA HOLDINGS, the driving force behind the project, presented details on the preparation and decoration underway to create a visually stunning Khmer-style farm. This unique attraction aims to draw visitors from Japan, Cambodia, and abroad, offering a glimpse into Cambodian culture through traditional architecture, cuisine, crafts, and performances.

H.E. Heng Sour, Minister of Labor and Vocational Training, expressed his appreciation for the initiative by the Japanese private sector. The village, located in Isehara, Kanagawa Prefecture, will feature Cambodian materials, restaurants serving Khmer dishes, cafes, and even showcase Cambodian crops.

According to the Japanese delegation, the Khmer Village is on track for a grand opening on June 30, 2024. This exciting venture promises to strengthen cultural ties between Cambodia and Japan, boost tourism, and create economic opportunities for Cambodians involved in running businesses within the village.
