PHNOM PENH: On January 30, 2023, Oknha Ly Hour, President of the Housing Development Association of Cambodia (HDAC), met with Mr. Sorn Sieb, newly elected president of the Cambodian Valuers And Estate Agents Association (CVEA), at the Ly Hour Group Head Office.

Members of the Cambodian Association of Appraisers and Realtors, as well as the General Secretariat of the Cambodian Housing Development Association, also attended the event.

According to the HDAC, the purpose of this meeting is to pay a courtesy call and present the composition of the leadership of the Cambodian Valuers And Estate Agents Association's 8th mandate, as well as to continue support and cooperation to contribute to the development of a stronger real estate and construction sector.

Mr. Sorn Sieb was elected by the Cambodian Valuers and Estate Agents Association (CVEA) 13th General Assembly to succeed Mr. Chrek Soknim as Association President on December 22, 2022. The new chairman will serve as chairman from 2023 to 2024.

The new president thanked the association's members for their support in helping him win the election to his eighth term as CVEA president. He promises to lead the organization and work harder to promote further expansion.

He also planned a few strategic leadership plans, like “strengthening the inside, expanding the outside.”. While external expansion focuses on overall market potential, mobilizing more members, increasing sales, and improving CVEA's reputation, internal strengthening focuses on capacity building through resource training and opening seminars.
