PHNOM PENH: Mr. Long Dimanche, Deputy Governor of Preah Sihanouk Province and Deputy Chairman of the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Investment Sub-Committee attended a meeting on May 23, 2023, chaired by H.E. Sok Chenda Sophea, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister and Secretary-General of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC).

This meeting's purpose is to review and assess the qualifications of investment projects that have been directly inspected by the Inter-Ministerial Commission.

The Deputy Governor supported three investment projects in Sihanoukville, including:

1. Acacia tree processing plant with a total investment of $ 8.5 million

2. A food processing company that has invested a total of 6.1 million USD

3. A supermarket covering an area of 42,000 square meters.
The total investment was $ 14 million

The meeting's chairman agreed with the deputy governor and urged the provincial administration and relevant authorities to continue to encourage people to plant acacia trees to supply the company's needs and reduce imports from overseas, as well as conduct additional inspections on the construction, operation of liquid waste treatment plants, and solid waste management to avoid the project's environmental impact
