Cambodia real estate sees 800 to 1,000 transactions monthly

PHNOM PENH: Although investment and real estate transactions will decline in 2022, there will still be at least 800 to 1,000 monthly real estate transactions, Mr. Chrek Soknim, president of the Cambodian Valuers and Estate Agents Association (CVEA) noted on November 4, 2022.

He added that, according to the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction's report, The cash flow of real estate transactions is impacted differently by the monthly value of traded real estate.

The number of real estate transactions is comparable in 2021 and 2022, he claimed.  “We see that the pre-Covid in 2020 and that 2019 the steady growth, but in 2021 and 2022, there was roughly the same number of exchanges each month.”

“The current real estate activity is declining but not completely quiet, say real estate agents in the provinces. Buyers and investors are still looking for properties with high returns or future investment potential.”

Experts have observed that there are more real estate transactions in Cambodia than in its neighbors because of the country's still-restricted property prices, which enable buyers to make and retain substantial profits. The situation for real estate investment will get better in the future.
