Cambodia, Australia strengthen partnership for sustainable economic growth

PHNOM PENH: Australia and reinforce their partnership for resilient, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth through the Cambodia Australia Partnership for Resilient Economic Development (CAPRED) Programme, according to the Australian Embassy in Phnom Penh

Yesterday, H.E. ROS Seilava, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Economic and Finance, co-chaired a CAPRED Steering Committee meeting with the embassy's First Secretary Amber Cernovs.

The meeting showcased CAPRED's key strategic priorities and achievements and how these align with the government's Pentagonal Strategy to address Cambodia's development challenges, said the source, adding that the discussion also focused on climate resilience and building an inclusive economy for all.

In attendance were committee members from the Ministry of Agriculture, and Fisheries; the Ministry of Commerce; the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation; and the Ministry of Women's Affairs.

This first CAPRED Steering Committee meeting underscored Australia's commitment to partnering with Cambodia in building resilient, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, underlined the embassy.
