ARENA gears up for continued progress: Productive discussions mark 12th Council of Presidents meeting

PHNOM PENH: Mr. , President of CVEA, represented Cambodia at the 12th ARENA Council of Presidents (COP) meeting held on March 16th, 2024. The meeting focused on key areas of collaboration and advancements for the organization, with productive discussions on crucial governance and strategic matters.

The COP meeting tackled a comprehensive agenda, fostering positive dialogue on several key areas. These included establishing leadership for the organization, reviewing past meeting minutes and policy updates, and ensuring financial stability through budget allocation discussions.

A highlight of the meeting was presentations by member nations, including Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines. A provisional report from was also included. These presentations provided valuable insights into the current state and future direction of each member country.

Organizational development was another key focus area. Discussions centered around registering the Constitution's country, establishing a permanent secretariat, and planning the ARENA Convention & Exhibition (ACE). Additionally, the meeting reviewed the ARENA website and its functionality, aiming to strengthen the organization's digital presence.

The successful 12th ARENA COP meeting reflects the organization's unwavering commitment to fostering collaboration and achieving shared goals amongst its member states. Deliberations also included selecting the date and venue for the next COP meeting, ensuring continued progress for ARENA in the future.
