“Where is Cambodia’s Tourism Industry Heading?” event to kick off tomorrow

PHNOM PENH: The American Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (AmCham Cambodia) will host an event titled “Where is Cambodia's Tourism Industry Heading?” on September 26, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Raffles Hotel Le Royal, Phnom Penh.

The event will bring together industry leaders, including the newly appointed Minister of Tourism, H.E. Sok Soken, Cambodia Airports, The Cambodia Hotel Association, Cambodia Restaurant Association, and the Cambodian Tourism Federation to discuss the current state of the tourism industry and explore ways to move forward -COVID-19.

Cambodia's tourism industry is a significant contributor to the country's economic growth and provides employment for thousands of Cambodians. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has had a major impact on travel and tourism worldwide, including in Cambodia.

The event will explore the challenges and opportunities facing the industry and discuss how Cambodia can position itself as a world-renowned destination. 

This vision and topics to discuss include three strategic goals: promoting competitive, sustainable, and inclusive tourism.
