PHNOM PENH: Tycoon Kith Meng’s Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone has welcomed eight new investment projects totaling more than $ 72 million and creating approximately 2,350 jobs.
According to a recent post on the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) official Facebook page, those 08 companies have been officially approved by the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), which included the following:
- “Toyota Tsusho Manufacturing (Cambodia) Co., Ltd.”: Toyota’s $ 36.7 million assembly plant project will employ approximately 150 people.
- “WCFO (Cambodia) Co., Ltd.” The project to build a factory to produce boxes and other components made of metal has an investment of $ 3.8 million and will create about 150 jobs.
- “Thirty Three Apparels (Cambodia) Co., Ltd.”: is a Cambodian clothing company. The project will invest 2.1 million dollars for a garment factory and can employ approximately 450 people
- “WCFO ASAMA Co.” The project to build a spare parts factory for plastic data transmitters will cost $0.805 million and employ approximately 100 people.
- “PV-Tech (Cambodia) Solar Long Co., Ltd.”: The solar panel project and assembly plant will cost $12 million and create 500 jobs.
- “Taica (Cambodia) Corporation”: intends to invest $ 620,000 in the construction of a rubber plant, which will employ approximately 20 people.
- “LUUS KH CORPORATION.”: With an investment of approximately $ 1.4 million, the project will construct a factory to manufacture and assemble commercial cooking equipment and equipment, creating approximately 80 jobs.
- “SOLTEAM (CAMBODIA) CORP.”: The project to construct a factory to manufacture and assemble electrical products and electronic equipment will cost approximately 14.7 million US dollars and will create approximately 900 jobs.
Tycoon Kith Meng’s 357-hectare Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone has attracted more than 95 manufacturers and services from 12 countries and more than 80 international companies from 15 countries in 2021 alone. The total value of exports from factories in the Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone was 673 million US dollars.
