He later earned money by teaching math to second-and third-year students in the United Kingdom while studying for a doctorate. This was to help reduce the financial burden on his parents.” Settling Back in Cambodia:

After returning to Cambodia, His Excellency Doctor Hun Manet has taken on challenges and worked tirelessly to promote the national interest of Cambodia, both domestically and internationally. He has been particularly active in the fight against the pandemic.

In the ranks of the Cambodian People's Party, His Excellency Hun Manet is a member of the Standing Committee and was appointed Chairman of the head of Central Party Youth in June 2020.
