The real estate market in southern Phnom Penh is improving

PHNOM PENH: The southern part of Phnom Penh expects to become a new economic corridor, combining residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The local real estate market remains active for sale and development.

According to Mr. Dith Channa, CEO of Lucky Realty, the real estate sector in the south of Phnom Penh refers to real estate from Chab Takhmao to the new international airport (Techo International Airport) or 3rd ring road. The real estate situation in this area is still good, particularly housing development.

“The real estate situation in the south of Phnom Penh has been growing well in recent times,” said Mr. Dith Channa, referring to the development and purchase of housing from Chab Takhmao to the new international airport.

He also mentioned that several new roads are under construction to connect to the new airport and even the ring road projects, which will boost the real estate sector south of Phnom Penh even more. Furthermore, he stated that many Borey development projects are located in the rice field area south of Phnom Penh. He notes that varieties of housing development in the city's south focused on the development of affordable and medium-sized housing, except the 60-meter road area, which focused on the development of luxury housing.

According to Cambodia International Real Estate, this southern location includes the Phnom Penh districts of Dangkor and Meanchey, Kandal province districts of Takhmao, Kandal Stung, and Saang will be Cambodia's new economic corridor in the future.
