PHNOM PENH-December 28, 2024: Royal Railway has significantly enhanced its freight capabilities with the arrival of 36 new flat wagons from China. These state-of-the-art wagons, designed to transport a wide range of cargo, including containers, heavy machinery, and construction materials, were unloaded on Saturday morning.
The addition of these high-quality wagons, manufactured by a leading Chinese company, is a crucial step in Royal Railway’s ongoing efforts to improve the efficiency and reliability of rail freight services across Cambodia.
This expansion is expected to play a vital role in supporting the growth of various industries and bolstering the nation’s overall economic development.
Before entering service, the new wagons underwent a thorough brake system test to ensure optimal safety and performance. They are now fully operational and integrated into Royal Railway’s existing fleet.
