PHNOM PENH: The Cambodian Ministry of Tourism (MoT) is calling on the entire tourism industry to participate in the upcoming China-ASEAN Expo Tourism Exhibition (CAEXPO) 2024. Set to take place from September 24 to 29 in Guilin, China, the event promises to be a significant platform for promoting Cambodia as a top tourism destination.
With over 800 exhibition booths and 500 buyers from ASEAN member countries expected to attend, CAEXPO 2024 offers an unparalleled opportunity for Cambodian tourism businesses to showcase their offerings to a vast audience.
The event’s theme, “Deepening Integration of Culture and Tourism, Jointly Building the Belt and Road,” aligns with Cambodia’s efforts to strengthen tourism ties with China and the region.
The MoT believes that participating in CAEXPO will bolster cooperation between the public and private sectors of Cambodia, China, and ASEAN, ultimately driving tourism growth in accordance with ASEAN spirit and ‘BUILD + 3Ds’ stractegic initiative of the MoT. The event will also serve as a platform to promote the “Visit Siem Reap 2024” campaign and the “Cambodia-China People-to-People Exchange Year 2024.”
To maximize the event’s impact, the MoT encourages tourism associations, tour operators, and businesses from both the public and private sectors to join the Cambodian delegation. By collectively showcasing the best of Cambodia’s tourism offerings, the industry can effectively attract more tourists and investors from China and ASEAN member countries.
