PHNOM PENH: H.E. HEM Vanndy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation, received a delegation from the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) to discuss technological collaboration and support for Cambodia’s industries to expand trade opportunities.
According to the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation (MISTI), during the meeting, H.E. HEM Vanndy emphasised MISTI’s role in fostering innovation and facilitating business success.

He highlighted the country’s focus on technology and digital transformation, citing the growing fintech sector, particularly advancements in e-payment systems.
Mr. Ronald Ho, Regional Director for Southeast Asia and South Asia, outlined HKTDC’s efforts in promoting international commerce, emphasising trade fairs as key platforms for fostering innovation and startup growth.
He added that HKTDC’s extensive trade network could help Cambodian products reach global markets.
H.E. HEM Vanndy encouraged HKTDC to pursue investment opportunities in technological solutions that could benefit Cambodia’s key economic sectors, highlighting their potential for both the domestic and export markets.
