PHNOM PENH: On Monday, June 30, 2025, Minister of Commerce, Her Excellency CHAM Nimul, met with the Cambodian Cashew Federation at the Ministry of Commerce. The purpose of the meeting was for the Federation to report on its progress and achievements, outline future plans, and request ongoing cooperation from the Ministry.

The President of the Cambodian Cashew Federation expressed gratitude to Minister Nimul for her crucial support in the Federation’s establishment in 2022, the organization of the World Cashew Conference, and other collaborative initiatives. These initiatives include participation in local trade fairs, facilitating sales in supermarkets and marts, and fostering engagement with hotel and chef associations.
In response, Minister Nimul highlighted the vital role of the Cambodian Cashew Federation in advancing the nation’s cashew sector. She specifically emphasized the need to enhance processing efficiency and scale, and to boost exports by maintaining current markets while expanding into new ones.

She reaffirmed the Ministry of Commerce’s commitment to continue supporting the Federation and coordinating with relevant stakeholders to further develop Cambodia’s cashew industry.
According to data from the Cambodian Cashew Association, which accounts for both official and unofficial exports recorded in February 2025, Cambodia’s cashew exports (both fresh and processed) generated over $1 billion in 2024. This represents a significant 26.15% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
