The new route from Techo Airport will be connected with 60 meters route

Cambodia Airport Investment Co., Ltd. (CAIC) began construction of a 21.5-kilometer-long road connecting the new Phnom Penh Airport (Techo Airport) in Kandal Province to Phnom Penh in 2021.

The project is set to be finished shortly after the airport in 2023, allowing for rapid and simple transit from the city to the new airport, with cars capable of reaching speeds of up to 100 kilometers per hour.

According to a press statement from Cambodia Airport Investment Co., Ltd. (CAIC), development of the new Phnom Penh International Airport is continuing well and has reached 32% completion.

CAIC is a joint venture created by the Cambodian government on behalf of the Civil Aviation Secretariat and OCIC. The new Phnom Penh International Airport project would encompass an area of 2,600 hectares in Kandal and Takeo provinces and cost roughly US $1.5 billion.

The new airport will be built in three phases, the first of which is scheduled to open in 2023 and will serve 13 million domestic and international travelers each year. The annual management will be 30 million people. The third phase of the project will be finished by 2050, and the airport’s passenger capacity will be increased to 50 million per year.
