IDI to foster Cambodia as a top destination for Malaysian investors

PHNOM PENH: Cambodia and Malaysia, as one of the region's top partnerships, are always looking forward to expanding their trade and economic ties. trade relations have significantly improved, with import volumes increasing.

ID Investors Association took the initiative earlier this month to strengthen this relationship by convening a meeting with Malaysian business delegates.

The two sides discussed cooperation aimed at strengthening business and investment activities between IDI members and Malaysian businesses during the meeting.

Mr. Chap Sopheak, Chief Executive Officer, stated that:

“following the fruitful meeting, the two parties will consider a formal tie through MoU after internally finalizing areas/points of collaboration, and there will be follow-up meetings between the parties, both virtual and physical.”

He added that the counterpart also invites IDI and its members to pay a business visit to their Malaysian headquarters in the coming months.

PHNOM PENH: A recent meeting between the leaders of ID Capital Plc. and the Innovation and Development Investors Association (IDI) with the Deputy General Manager of CPALL Public Company Limited (Thailand) was held to discuss the possibility of expanding Store Business Partner (SBP) for the 7-Eleven branding in Cambodia.

Dr. Hor Sereyvath, Chairman of the Board of the Innovation and Development Investors Association (IDI), ID Capital PLC (IDC), and Anittha Thanamit, Deputy General Manager, CPALL Public Company Limited, participated in a discussion meeting on October 31, 2022. (Thailand).

The purpose of the meeting was to examine SBP projects involving the 7-Eleven store brand under the supervision of IDC's investment capital. The two parties talked about prospective investments they could drive together.
