PHNOM PENH: Last week the Honorary Consul General of Cambodia in Long Beach, California Mr. Huot Kim Chha in collaboration with several business associates in Long Beach held an informative discussion session with IDI Delegates led by Mr. Chap Sopheak, IDI's Secretary General and IDC's CEO.

The session focuses on the requirements to import food products into the United State which covers various aspects including FDA, packaging and labeling, and the US Custom process followed by a Q&A and networking. The session intends to provide guidelines for the delegate's members to start the preparation for exporting products from Cambodia to the United States.

The Cambodian Delegation Visit to the United States on 7-13 March 2023 provides an opportunity for the delegation members to participate in the 41st industry's largest trade show in Anaheim, California, USA, entitled “Natural Products Expo West” which is a marketplace for over 2,700 exhibitors and over 57,000 registered attendee around the globe to engage, experience and exchange business through the face-to-face exhibition.

On top of attending the expo, a visit to the Port of Los Angeles to understand the port process and gain exchange points of contact, followed by a closed-door business matchmaking with potential US buyers makes the visit agenda.
