PHNOM PENH: On Wednesday, May 31, 2023, the Association of Innovation and Development Investors (IDI) and ID Capital Plc. (IDC), led by Mr. Chap Sopheak, Secretary General and CEO of IDC, and colleagues met with an Australia-based hotel and hospitality management company La Vie Hotel & Resorts, represented by My. Jerry Xu, Chief Executive Officer, and colleagues together with a Singapore-based company Metro Global, led by Mr. Ronald Quek, Business Development Director, to explore opportunities in the hotel, hospitality, and tourism sectors in Cambodia.

During the meeting, Mr. Chap Sopheak explained the investment climate, especially Cambodia's tourism sector after the economic and social resumption of the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition, Mr. Sopheak also introduced the meeting counterpart to a number of construction and hotel projects in Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville, and Siem Reap, which could become strategic targets for La Vie and Metro Global.

Following this discussion, La Vie and Metro Global will conduct further studies on the plan to enter the Cambodian market, especially on partnering with IDI and IDC to promote the hotel and tourism services sector in Cambodia.
