German companies seek investment potential and opportunities in Cambodia

PHNOM PENH: A 30-member German business and investment delegation whose activities are in the areas of manufacturing, technology, hospitality, education, and service in Vietnam have sought for investment potential and opportunities in the sectors of construction, tourism, clean water supply, recycling, IT, green energy, and industrial structure in Cambodia.

The intention was revealed by the delegation led by Mr. Alexander Ziehe, Chairman of German Business Association (GBA), and Mr. Peter Kompalla, Chief Representative of German Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Vietnam (AHK Vietnam), while they were meeting with H.E. NUT-Un Voanra, Deputy Secretary General of Cambodian Investment Board of for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), at the CDC headquarters late last week.

On the occasion, H.E. NUT-Un Voanra presented his guests about macroeconomic situation in Cambodia, along with investment law and sub-decrees, priority investment sectors, investment incentive framework, and investment registration and facilitation.

He also mentioned about special economic zone development, major infrastructure and logistics projects, and CDC's readiness to provide support for all investors, and hoped that would see more growth.
