PHNOM PENH: The cable-stayed concrete bridge connecting Koh Pich to the Koh Norea development project across the Bassac River, constructed by OCIC, is more than 80% complete as of today and expected to finish in October.
According to Touch Samnang, the Deputy General Director of OCIC, the construction process for the bridge from Koh Pich to Koh Norea is going as planned and the bridge will be connected next August.
Touch Samnang stated, “At this moment, around 80% of the construction work has been completed. We’re aiming to connect the bridge by mid-August, and we anticipate it to be fully operational by October.”
The Koh Pich-Koh Nora Bridge is situated in Sangkat Niroth, Khan Chbar Ampov, Phnom Penh City, and has an investment worth $38 million. It was built by the Overseas Cambodia Investment Corporation (OCIC) under the management of the Phnom Penh Capital Administration.
This bridge serves as a significant entryway that connects the Phnom Penh city center to National Road No. 1, easing the traffic congestion on the two Monivong Bridges.
