PHNOM PENH – In a strategic move to boost international arrivals and attract foreign capital, the Ministry of Tourism has teamed up with NWC Investment to extensively promote Cambodia’s tourism potential and investment opportunities to the Chinese market.
The collaboration was solidified during a courtesy meeting at the Ministry of Tourism headquarters between H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, and Ms. Zhuyun Wu, General Director of NWC Investment.
During the meeting, Ms. Wu briefed the Minister on the company’s portfolio and achievements. Recognized as a leading corporation in event organization and commercial promotion services for prominent domestic and international companies, NWC Investment is looking to leverage its expertise to elevate Cambodia’s profile abroad.
To achieve this, Ms. Wu requested the Ministry’s official cooperation, support, and guidance on an upcoming music video (MV) production project. The project is designed to actively showcase Cambodia’s rich tourism appeal and investment landscape to Chinese audiences, maximizing the impact of the government’s upcoming tourism initiatives.
The promotional push comes at a critical time, aligning perfectly with the Royal Government of Cambodia’s newly announced visa exemption campaign. Designed to stimulate travel during the country’s special “Green Season,” the campaign will grant Chinese citizens a visa exemption for stays of up to 14 days, running from June 15 to October 15, 2026.
H.E. Minister Huot Hak expressed high appreciation and gratitude toward NWC Investment for their valuable initiative and contribution to the development of Cambodia’s tourism sector. He emphasized the importance of attracting both Chinese tourists and high-value investors.
The Minister also urged the company to utilize its extensive media and communication networks in both Cambodia and China to consistently project a positive image of the Kingdom. He highlighted that promotional materials should focus heavily on showcasing Cambodia’s safety, security, attractive tourist destinations, and highly favorable investment climate.
This joint initiative marks another major step forward in Cambodia’s proactive post-pandemic tourism recovery strategy, leveraging creative media and targeted policy incentives to capture one of the world’s largest travel markets.
