Cambodia to further strengthen ASEAN-U.S. comprehensive strategic partnership

PHNOM PENH: The Cambodian delegation underlines the government's endeavour to unlock youth's potential to catch up with the world.

H.E. Serey Chumneah, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports, shared the move when leading a Cambodian delegation to attend the United Nations () Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Youth Forum 2024.

The youth forum is held from April 16 to 18 at the United Nations headquarters in New York, the United States of America.

Addressing the forum's opening ceremony, the secretary of state said that the Royal Government of noted the rapid development of technology, especially the development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology.

With that, the government is investing heavily in strengthening the capacity of young people for 21st century skills as well as their readiness for the job market in line with the new context.

The youth forum was themed “Youth shaping sustainable and innovative solutions: Reinforcing the 2023 agenda and eradicating poverty in times of crises.”

UN Secretary-General H.E. Antonio Guterres, ECOSOC President H.E. Ms. Puala Narváez, and President of the 78th session of the General Assembly H.E. Dennis Francis chaired the forum. AKP
