PHNOM PENH: Cambodia recorded US$746 million in capital investment for the automotive sector, the tire production, in 2024, thanks mainly to the country’s automotive and electronics sectors development roadmap.

The achievement beyond the target was highlighted in a recent meeting to review the implementation of the roadmap chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice Chair of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) H.E. Sun Chanthol.
H.E. Sun Chanthol thanked all the players in the implementation of the Cambodia Automotive and Electronics Sectors Development Roadmap.

The development of the sector is transforming Cambodia into an international hub for the production of automotive components and electronic equipment for export, he added.
According to the review, the export of the automotive sector increased to approximately US$1.14 billion.
