PHNOM PENH: The Kingdom of Cambodia and the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) will boost their bilateral cooperation in the tourism sector.

This is the spirit of the visit to Lao PDR by a delegation of the Cambodian tourism ministry and private sector led by Minister of Tourism H.E. Thong Khon from Mar. 12 to 15.

During the visit, H.E. Thong Khon will pay a courtesy call to a Lao Deputy Prime Minister and hold a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mrs. Suanesavanh Vignaket, Lao Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, according to an announcement of the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism.

There will also be a meeting between the tourism private sector of the two neighboring countries, the source pointed out.

Through the visit, it added, Cambodia expected an increase in reciprocal flows of tourists, as well as that of Chinese and tourists from the third country between Cambodia and Lao PDR.
