PHNOM PENH: Cambodia and Kuwait have reiterated their commitments to further enhance bilateral relations and cooperation in areas of trade, economy, and oil/gas exploration.

The determination was made by H.E. PRAK Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, while receiving a courtesy call from H.E. Muhammad Saeed Shafi Al-Hajri, Newly Appointed Ambassador of Kuwait to Cambodia, to discuss ways to further advance the above-mentioned cooperation, at the ministry office today.

Taking the opportunity, H.E. PRAK Sokhonn encouraged some joint activities to be explored to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the Establishment of Cambodia-Kuwait Diplomatic Relations next year.

Both sides also touched upon a number of regional issues, including cooperation between ASEAN and the Gulf Cooperation Council.

For his part, H.E. Muhammad Saeed Shafi Al-Hajri congratulated Cambodia on her successful Chair of the ASEAN Summit and Related Summit in 2022.
