PHNOM PENH: Cambodia exported 387,070 tonnes of milled rice in the first six months of 2025, up 14.3 percent from 338,654 tonnes in the same period last year, the Cambodia Rice Federation (CRF) said in a news release on July 3.
The milled rice exports earned the Kingdom a gross revenue of US$387 million, up 56 percent from US$247 million in the first semester last year.
Fifty companies shipped Cambodian milled rice to 60 countries and regions during the January-June period this year, the news release said, adding that China remained one of the major importers of the commodity.

About 75 percent of the exported milled rice was fragrant rice, 19.68 percent was white rice, 2.49 percent was parboiled rice, 2.13 percent was organic rice, and 0.7 percent was other types of rice, the source pointed out.
Mr. Chan Sokheang, CRF President, said that the growth in the rice export showed a positive move in the existing and new markets.
“CRF will optimise its efforts so that the exports will keep increasing,” he affirmed.
In addition, Cambodia generated some US$755 million in revenue from border-traded paddy rice of some 3.17 million tonnes during the first half of this year.
In 2024, the Kingdom exported over 651,522 tonnes of milled rice worth US$491 million.
