PHNOM PENH: Cambodia’s three international airports handled a total of 3.04 million air passengers during the first five months of 2025, marking an 18 percent year-on-year increase, according to a report released by the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SSCA).
From January to May 2025, international and domestic airlines operated 27,670 flights to and from the three airports—an increase of 14 percent compared to the same period last year, the report stated.

Additionally, Cambodia recorded a 5 percent rise in air cargo volume, reaching 29,019 tonnes during the same period.
H.E. Sinn Chanserey Vutha, Secretary of State at the SSCA, noted that the country’s aviation sector has shown consistent growth in recent years, fueled by rising demand for air travel and government-led efforts to modernise airport infrastructure.
“This significant increase reflects the country’s growing popularity as a tourist destination and the expansion of its air connectivity,” he said.
Cambodia is projected to welcome 7.5 million air passengers in 2025, representing a 20 percent increase over 2024, the report added.
