PHNOM PENH: According to the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia, from 2019 to the end of June 2022, Cambodia exported 2.4 million tons of agricultural products to China, earning $1,942 million.

While China has a high market demand, the country has been Cambodia’s largest rice export market for many years in a row.
“Since the successful export of Cambodian bananas to China in 2019, the Cambodian banana has grown steadily,” he said. By 2021, the figure will have risen to 42.3 thousand tons. Furthermore, Cambodian mangoes, fish, corn, and longan are permitted to export to China.
Mr. Dith Tina, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, stated that 2022 marks the 12th year that Cambodia-China diplomatic relations have been elevated to the level of comprehensive strategic partnership and expansion of relations in all areas, including trade, business, and investment.
He stated that agricultural exports from Cambodia to China totaled more than 580,000 tons, valued at approximately $491 million in the first nine months of 2022.
