$258 million investment in Cambodia’s sixth cement factory, a major boost for sector

PHNOM PENH: The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) approved a $258 million project to build a new cement factory in Kampong Speu province last week.

The factory will be built in Monorom village, Hom Samnang commune, Oral district, and is expected to create 470 jobs.

The project is being invested by Conch KT Cement (Phnom Penh) Company Limited and is expected to have an annual capacity of 2 million tonnes. This will make it Cambodia's sixth cement factory and will help to meet the growing demand for cement in the country.
