KE’s two new entrepreneurship programs aim to create a vibrant startup ecosystem

PHNOM PENH: On 08 September 2023, H.E. Dr. Chheang Vanmunin, CEO of Khmer Enterprise, signed MoUs with Expert Leadership Innovation Exchange (ELIX), the implementing partner of the USAID Digital Workforce Development project and University of California Berkeley’s Haas Business School, and Reactor School, a Singapore-based company, and 8 higher education institutes across the country.

This event was of a representative from the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport. The 8 higher education institutes are the National University of Management, the Institute of Technology of Cambodia, the University of South-East Asia, Svay Rieng University, ACLEDA Institute of Business, the National University of Chea Sim Kamchay Mear, the American University of Phnom Penh, and Kirirom Institute of Technology.

During the MoU signing ceremony, Khmer Enterprise and all partners announced the launch of the two brands of Entrepreneurship Programs for undergraduate students that aim to bolster the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem in Cambodia.

Khmer Enterprise (KE) was established as an implementation unit of the Entrepreneurship Development Fund (EDF) to implement the support programs and directly work with partners and beneficiaries.

It aims to mobilize, invest, and manage resources, from all legitimate sources, to support the development of a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem and to provide financial and non-financial support to related entrepreneurial ecosystem builders.
