PHNOM PENH – In a move that underscores growing investor confidence in Southeast Asia’s hospitality and digital landscape, X Capital Investment Co., Ltd. has committed to accelerating its capital deployment in Cambodia.
During a high-level strategic meeting at the Ministry of Tourism, Minister H.E. Huot Hak and Mr. Tong David, Director General of X Capital Investment, finalized blueprints to leverage digital innovation and cross-border trade to capture the lucrative Chinese and international travel markets.

The meeting highlighted a shared vision: utilizing private sector capital to modernize Cambodia’s tourism infrastructure and position the kingdom as a premium, secure destination for foreign direct investment (FDI).
Established with a core mandate to finance culture, tourism, and digital innovation, X Capital Investment is actively bankrolling three interconnected priority projects designed to maximize Cambodia’s market share in global tourism.
The first major asset is the Angkor App, a capital-intensive digital tourism infrastructure project designed to completely modernize the visitor experience. By capturing valuable tourist data and streamlining real-time services, this application establishes a scalable ecosystem for international travelers. Complementing this digital platform is the Cambodia National Shop, a cross-border retail synergy network established within mainland China.

This retail initiative acts as an economic bridge, commercializing Cambodian national products to stimulate organic brand awareness and consumer interest well before a traveler books a flight. Finally, the Angkor Smile Exhibition serves as the high-yield market penetration vehicle aimed at premium demographics. The inaugural exhibition in Beijing has already proven its return on investment by drawing over 7,000 high-intent visitors and generating a massive digital campaign reach of two million impressions, signaling immense scalable potential for future capital deployment.
A central theme of the bilateral talks was risk mitigation and market stability—two critical factors for institutional investors. H.E. Minister Huot Hak emphasized that Cambodia’s current macroeconomic climate is optimized for foreign capital.
“Cambodia continues to enjoy robust peace, political stability, and rigorous security. These are the fundamental baseline conditions required for sustainable tourism development and for safeguarding international investments.” — H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism
The Minister noted that these favorable conditions are a direct result of the economic policies championed by Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, who has designated the tourism sector as a primary macroeconomic pillar for national economic growth. This top-down government backing provides a highly supportive regulatory framework for private investors like X Capital.
By aligning digital innovation with aggressive outbound marketing, X Capital Investment is positioning itself at the forefront of Cambodia’s tourism resurgence. Moving forward, the Ministry of Tourism has pledged continued facilitating support to ensure X Capital’s projects achieve maximum market penetration, ultimately driving higher visitor yields, longer lengths of stay, and diversified revenue streams for the Cambodian economy.
