PHNOM PENH: Two international cruise ships carrying more than 2,400 passengers of diverse nationalities docked at the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port in Preah Sihanouk province on Tuesday morning, marking a significant day for Cambodia’s maritime tourism.
According to immigration officials at the deep-sea port, the Norwegian Sun and the Seabourn Encore arrived from Vietnam, bringing a combined total of 2,406 tourists to explore the Kingdom’s coastal attractions.

The Norwegian Sun, a Bahamas-flagged vessel measuring 258.6 metres in length, arrived at 8:10 AM. It carried 1,868 passengers representing 42 nationalities, supported by a crew of 902. The majority of travellers on board were American (629) and British (404). The ship is scheduled to depart for Thailand at 5:00 PM this evening.
The second vessel, the Seabourn Encore, also flying the Bahamas flag, docked earlier at 7:00 AM. It arrived with 538 passengers from 29 countries and 409 crew members. U.S. citizens (259) and British nationals (128) made up the largest groups on board.

Additionally, 51 tourists who had been visiting Siem Reap province joined the vessel in Sihanoukville to continue their journey to Thailand.
Provincial authorities provided a warm welcome to the visitors, who are expected to visit several key cultural and landmark sites in Preah Sihanouk province.
