PHNOM PENH: Cambodian Ministry of Tourism and Visa Worldwide PTE. Limited have entered into a cooperation Memorandum of Understanding to boost the tourism sector in Cambodia.

The MoU signing ceremony took place at the ministry on Sept. 10 between H.E. Sok Soken, Minister of Tourism, and Mr. Arturo Planell, Visa’s Group Country Manager for Southeast Asia.

This MoU focuses on key areas of cooperation, including sharing of tourism data and insights, marketing support, education and capacity building, and digital transformation, particularly on digital payments in the tourism sector, pointed out the Ministry of Tourism.

On the occasion, H.E. Minister highlighted the importance of the partnership with Visa Worldwide PTE. Limited in building a robust technology system that allows both local and international tourists to use and pay in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
