PHNOM PENH: The General Department of Taxation (GDT) has officially launched the smartphone-based GDT HOME TAX application, providing taxpayers with a convenient digital platform to access tax services, submit information, track tax obligations, receive updates, and enhance transparency and voluntary tax compliance.
The launch ceremony took place during the Cambodia Tax Forum 2026 on Feb. 5, under the presidency of H.E. Dr. Aun Pornmoniroth, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance, with the participation of ministers from the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
The new system enables users to easily, quickly, securely, and conveniently fulfil their tax obligations via mobile phones or computers. The platform can be accessed through the mobile application or web browsers.
H.E. Kong Vibol, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister and Royal Government Delegate in charge of the Director General of the GDT, said the system serves as the core information technology platform of the Cambodian Tax Administration, comparable to a single digital gateway for the GDT.
“As part of our ongoing information technology reform, we have integrated more than 80 existing systems and programmes into a single gateway to facilitate easier communication with the tax administration and improved access to taxpayer services, particularly e-filing, e-payment, and online services and form submissions,” he said.
Neak Oknha Kith Meng, President of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce, welcomed the initiative, noting that the new system will enhance the use of technology and enable taxpayers to access tax services more efficiently through digital platforms.
“With a streamlined system, it will promote easier legal compliance, reduce conflicts, and build stronger confidence,” he said.
