At a press conference on the “French-Cambodian Business Forum” on June 1, Philippe Baudry, Economic Adviser of the French Embassy in Cambodia, stated that 150 French companies, members of the French Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia, were investing in Cambodia. However, the European Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia reports that there are approximately 500 small, large, and medium-sized French companies doing business in Cambodia.

Arnaud Darc, president of the European Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia and a Cambodian businessman, stated that France was Europe’s largest investor and investor, but he did not provide company figures or exact investment numbers.

He also stated that France is the leading European country in terms of investment and development in Cambodia. According to a survey, approximately 500 French companies do business in Cambodia. Garments and footwear, tourism and services, agriculture, and green energy are all potential sectors for French business in Cambodia.
