Support “Made in Cambodia” and Charity at Songkran Event: An Initiative by MOT and CCCA

PHNOM PENH: The Ministry of Tourism (MOT) and the Cambodian Chinese Commerce Association (CCCA) proudly present the Songkran Heritage Charity Event on April 5, 2025, an initiative designed to celebrate the 27th National Cultural Day while actively promoting “Made in Cambodia” products and supporting vital social causes.

This fundraising event will showcase a diverse range of local goods, including items crafted by Cambodian, fostering a collaborative effort between communities, businesses, and charities to create positive national impact.

The Songkran Heritage Charity event will take place on April 5, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Factory Phnom Penh, opposite the Urban Village Exhibition Hall, with a theme of Songkran Heritage Charity, where a small donation (exchangeable for “Made in Cambodia” products) will support the Shanty Town Spirit Association, Les Restaurants Des Enfants – LRDE, and Golden Charity.

This event is organized by the Infinity Program first creation team, the Cambodian Chinese Commerce Association , the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Women’s Affairs , and Factory Phnom Penh & Urban Village.

The event offers a blend of cultural festivities and charitable activities, highlighting traditional Khmer customs, showcasing local “Made in Cambodia” products, and providing auction opportunities. Attendees are encouraged to embrace the festive spirit by wearing traditional Khmer clothing.

Featured “Made in Cambodia” Booths:
The event will host numerous booths dedicated to showcasing Cambodian heritage and locally made products, with proceeds contributing to the supported charities. Key booths include:

Smiling Kumnou (Painting Booth): Featuring live artists and silk scarf vendors.
Golden Khmer Agricultural Products Booth: Selling dried mangoes and other dry goods.
Bird Nest Natural Water Booth: Offering quality natural water chestnut products.
Palm Sugar and Kampot Pepper Booth: Promoting organic palm sugar and Kampot pepper.
Khmer Wooden Empire: Showcasing exquisite wooden decorations.

These carefully selected vendors and their products exemplify the best of Cambodian craftsmanship and agriculture, all in support of fundraising efforts and the promotion of the “Made in Cambodia” brand. Others Participating, such as the Cambodia Association of Travel Agents (CATA) and the Women’s Association, will also have booths to highlight their contributions and encourage visitor support.
