PHNOM PENH: The Special Programme to Promote Investment in the Four Northeastern Provinces (SPIN Programme) has reviewed five proposed investment projects in Mondulkiri province with a combined capital of about US$123 million, which are expected to create around 1,700 jobs.
H.E. Pich Sambath, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Economy and Finance and Vice Head of the SPIN Working Group Secretariat, chaired last week 2026 discussions on proposed incentives, concessions and procedural simplifications for the projects, held in Mondulkiri province.
Representatives from the Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation, Ministry of Tourism, the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank, the Mondulkiri Provincial Administration, the provincial specialised departments, the Mondulkiri Provincial Chamber of Commerce, and relevant technical officials attended the meeting.
The five projects focus on agriculture and tourism, including the cultivation and processing of rubber and coffee as well as the development of sacred tourism areas.
Following the meeting, the working group visited project sites and held direct discussions with company representatives to review technical aspects, as well as proposals and challenges raised by investors.
The SPIN Programme aims to attract sustainable investment to Cambodia’s northeastern region by offering targeted incentives and streamlining procedures, while supporting job creation and local economic development.
