PHNOM PENH: After a long wait, the Huanhai Platinum International five-star hotel project was finally put up for auction on October 20-22, 2022, and construction was recently announced.

The Chinese company “HUAN HAI BO LAI INTERNATIONAL INVESTMENT CO., LTD” is in charge of the five-star hotel project Huanhai Platinum International.

The building has a total plot area of 188,981.6 square meters and a height of 147.8 meters. The confirmed site will be in Village 4, Sangkat 4, Sihanoukville, Preah Sihanouk Province. Huanhai Platinum International, a five-star hotel project with a 168 million US dollar investment, will add 957 rooms to the market.

During Covid19, property owners in Sihanoukville await investors in uncertainty because high-rise buildings have yet to be built throughout the city, and more than 1,000 buildings in Sihanoukville have been abandoned for more than two years, according to provincial authorities.

Post-covid-19 is improving, with many projects being tendered and new project owners being replaced, and numerous reconstruction projects underway.
