PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Manet on his social media’s page this morning highlighted the success of Green Island Agricultural Co., Ltd, a leading banana plantation company in Cambodia.

Located in Sambo district, Kratie province, the company employs nearly 600 local workers and has a office staff of 9 Cambodians and 29 foreign experts.

Green Island Agricultural’s subsidiary, Cambodian Banana Agricultural Co., Ltd, is responsible for operating the banana plantation.

To date, the company has exported an impressive 22,000 tons of bananas to the People’s Republic of China, showcasing the company’s significant contribution to Cambodia’s agricultural sector and trade relations with China.
