BEIJING — In a major move to bolster economic ties and support foreign investment, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Sun Chanthol has officially announced the launch of the “Open Day with DPM” program, a strategic new mechanism designed specifically for Chinese investors.
The announcement was made yesterday afternoon, Saturday, June 27, 2026, during the Cambodia Investment Promotion Seminar in Beijing. The initiative follows a highly successful bilateral meeting between the supreme leaders of Cambodia and China during an official friendship visit on June 26.
The “Open Day with DPM” program is set to significantly augment Cambodia’s existing investment aftercare and support services, offering an unprecedented opportunity for corporate executives, investors, and business leaders—both those based in China and those already operating within Cambodia—to engage directly with the Deputy Prime Minister, who also serves as the First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC).
Through this comprehensive full-day event, participating business leaders will have the exclusive privilege to pay courtesy calls and engage in high-level working discussions, gain profound insights into Cambodia’s evolving investment landscape, and consult directly on operational challenges and strategic solutions.
According to the initiative’s master plan, the “Open Day with DPM” will be convened every three months.
“This brand-new mechanism reflects Cambodia’s commitment to ensuring a seamless, supportive, and transparent environment for our Chinese business partners,” officials noted during the seminar.
