PHNOM PENH: Mr. Kouch Chamroeun, Governor of Preah Sihanouk Province, urges the technical working group on the new provincial hall’s construction to be completed by the end of 2023.
According to the meeting to review the progress of the Sihanoukville Provincial Hall building construction, the following progress has been made in the construction of the municipality building of Preah Sihanouk Provincial Hall as of October 7, 2022:
1. The foundation work has been completed 100%
2. The ground floor construction work has been completed at 67%
3. The first floor was 38% constructed
4. The electrical network and groundwater were 50% constructed
Mr. Kouch Chamroeun advised the construction technical team to speed up the construction because there will be less rain in the coming month, which will not disturb the construction site and allow for faster construction and asked for quality-guaranteed for long-term use.
Mr. Ly Raksmey, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction agreed to the Governor’s request for a weekly report on construction progress to reflect the construction team finding solutions and responsibly implementing work.
According to Mr. Ly Raksmey, the new Sihanoukville Provincial Hall construction site which was opened on March 7, 2022, is expected to complete by the end of 2023.
