Molecor Eyes Cambodia Plant for High-Tech Pipe Production

PHNOM PENH: H.E. Hem Vanndy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation, on Feb. 6 received a delegation from Molecor, a Spanish company specialised in advanced pipes and fittings marketed in more than 30 countries worldwide.

During the meeting, the company expressed interest in establishing a manufacturing plant in Cambodia and bringing high-tech solutions to support Cambodia’s water operators in upgrading infrastructure and reducing leakage.

Minister Vanndy emphasised that Cambodia’s water supply sector is not only a public health priority, but also a key driver of rural transformation and industrial development.

He highlighted the need for long-term, high-quality infrastructure investment, noting that many operators—especially private rural operators—still face constraints in financing upgrades and expanding coverage.

“We welcome companies that bring innovation and long-term value—advanced technology, high-quality products, and sustainable practices—to support sector development. We also encourage you to bring financing options to help Cambodia’s water operators be able to afford and modernise their infrastructure,” Minister Vanndy said.

Mr. Pattynama stated that Molecor is expanding its footprint in Southeast Asia and sees Cambodia as a promising market, especially as the country transitions toward higher quality infrastructure.

“We are a high-technology company, and our mission is to bring affordable and safe water to people,” he said, noting Molecor’s patented PVC-O technology and its focus on long-term cost efficiency through durability, easy installation, and improved hydraulic performance.
