Late June sees Cambodia approve new 9 investment projects worth nearly $55M

PHNOM PENH: In June, nine new investment projects worth approximately $55 million were approved by Cambodia.

The Investment Committee of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) yesterday announced the issued registration certificates for the following companies in late June:

1. KITCHEN BRIGHTS (CAMBODIA) INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD: The project is to establish a kitchen equipment factory in Banla Set village, Roleang Chek commune, Samrong Tong district, Kampong Speu province. The investment capital amounts to approximately $9.7 million and creates 1,414 job opportunities.

2. FRESH SOURCE INTERNATIONAL (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD: The project is to establish a factory to produce various types of light bulbs. The factory will be located at National Road 3, Champol Village, Popel Commune, Tram Kak District, Takeo Province with an investment amount of $6 million.The project has the potential to create jobs for 465 new employees.

3. The third project is the establishment of a bag factory by “YANGJIE OUTDOOR MANUFACTURING (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD.” The factory will be located in Phum Chas, Khum Pich Mony, Kong Pisey District, Kampong Speu Province. The total investment for this project is $5.2 million and it is expected to generate 1531 job opportunities.

4. “X J X INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD” is another project that aims to create job opportunities by establishing a garment, footwear, and bag factory in Ang Sokunthea Village, Maha Russey Commune, Kong Pisey District, Kampong Speu Province. This project will require an investment of $5.2 million and will create 485 jobs.

5. “CAMBODIAN XIN HUANG MING GARMENT CO., LTD.” This factory will be located at Cana City Industrial Park, Veng Sreng Street, Trapeang Thleung 2 Village, Sangkat Choam Chao I, Khan Por Senchey, Phnom Penh. The investment for this project is $5.1 million, and it is expected to generate 1141 job opportunities.

6. “L&G PACKAGING MATERIALS CO., LTD” will establish a factory to produce paper mats (clothes-shoes-bags), mackerel paper, and packaging paper in Prey Beong village, Bek Chan commune, Ang Snoul district. This project requires an investment of $5.1 million and will create 647 job opportunities.

7. The seventh project is the establishment of a garment factory by “OPTIMA GARMENT (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD.” The factory will be located in Pot Sor Commune, Bati District, Takeo Province, on National Road 2. The investment capital for this project is $5.1 million, and it is expected to create 1226 job opportunities.

8. “LINGRICH BICYCLE (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD.” aims to establish a factory for the production of bicycles, electric bicycles, bicycle components, and all kinds of bicycle parts. The factory will be located in the investment zone of Tai Seng Bavet Special Economic Zone in Svay Rieng province. The investment capital required for this project is approximately $7.2 million, and it can create 6250 job opportunities.

9. The final project is “LATIDO ELECTRICAL CO., LTD.” It aims to establish a factory for the production of all kinds of electrical equipment and electrical components. The factory will be located in the investment zone in Hai-Park Special Economic Zone, Svay Rieng province. The investment capital required for this project is approximately $6.2 million, and it can create 690 job opportunities.
