Lao firm interests in EV charging station

PHNOM PENH: Senior officials from the Ministry of Public Works and Transport recently paid a visit by LOCA, a Laos-based company specializing in electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. The meeting was attended by leaders from the general department, as well as numerous professional officials.

During the meeting, LOCA outlined its objectives, which included researching investment opportunities and familiarizing itself with the legal requirements and documents needed to meet the needs of potential investors in Cambodia.

Representatives from LOCA also provided vital information about the company’s services, aimed at reducing emissions and promoting the use of electric vehicles in Laos.

The Ministry pledged to continue its collaboration with LOCA, offering further guidance on the necessary documentation for investment in Cambodia. They also requested that LOCA share its new technologies with Cambodia to promote the use of electric vehicles in the country.

Cambodia is currently promoting the use of electric vehicles and encouraging investment in the electric vehicle sector.
