PHNOM PENH: Earlier this week, a significant step was taken to foster Cambodia’s entrepreneurial environment. H.E. Dr. Chhieng Vanmunin, representing the Royal Government as CEO of Khmer Enterprise (KE), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the the Innovation and Development Investors Association (IDI) led by Dr. Hor SereyVath, Chairman of the Board of Directors .
This collaboration aims to build, develop, and support initiatives that create a thriving ecosystem for attracting investments in startups and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
The IDI , a leading Cambodian investment body with over 100 member companies, has recently established twelve sub-committees under its Investment Committee.
These sub-committees, focusing on key sectors like education, technology, trading, fund-raising, entertainment, food & beverage, finance, manufacturing, agriculture, real estate, healthcare, and tourism, will play a crucial role in driving investment.
A meeting was held yesterday at the IDI office to determine the leadership positions for these sub-committees. The composition of Chairpersons and Vice Presidents is now finalized.
This combined effort between the Cambodian government and IDI demonstrates a strong commitment to supporting Cambodia’s entrepreneurial future and attracting investment across various industries.
