PHNOM PENH-On 12 June 2026 in Osaka, Japan, Royal Group Phnom Penh SEZ Plc. signed a Joint Venture Agreement with the Kampong Thom Provincial Administration to establish the Kampong Thom Special Economic Zone (KTSEZ).
The project aims to develop a Farm-to-Factory Agro-Processing Zone that will promote import substitution and export-oriented industries by creating value-added agricultural supply chains. The initiative is expected to enhance rural industrialization, generate employment opportunities, and increase farmers’ incomes through the development of agro-processing industries.
The development of the Kampong Thom Special Economic Zone is aligned with the vision of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and the Royal Government’s policies to promote agricultural modernization, industrial diversification, and balanced regional development.
The project supports national efforts to strengthen Cambodia’s agro-industrial sector, create employment opportunities in rural areas, and enhance the competitiveness of Cambodian agricultural products in both domestic and international markets.
