PHNOM PENH: The government recently completed the study of two new Siem Reap ring roads total lengths of more than 100 kilometers, with a budget of roughly $ 140 million with plans to build soon under loans from development partners.
The announcement was made by Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen during a meeting with residents from the development area of Angkor Thom, Siem Reap province, on October 22.
Samdech Techo stated that the Royal Government plans to construct two roads between Siem Reap, including the route between the northern and southern city ring roads, to improve traffic outpour in the city.
The 55-kilometer northern city road has been studied and set to build with an Asian Development Bank loan of $45.7 million (ADB). The other 46-kilometer southern city road has also been completed, with plans to build it using a $ 94.1 million concessional loan from South Korea.
