PHNOM PENH: The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has presented Cambodia’s investment environment and potential to IKEA Group, a multinational conglomerate that designs and sells ready-to-assemble furniture, household goods, and related services.
Secretary General of the Cambodian Investment Board at CDC H.E. Chea Vuthy led the presentation for his IKEA guest on Mar. 19 at CDC, Phnom Penh.
He briefed the IKEA delegation on Cambodia’s policy to attract private investment, the favourable incentive regime under the current investment law, and other special offers and treatments.
IKEA Director of Southeast Asia Sourcing Area Mr. Giafar Safaverdi, who led the company’s delegation for the meeting, thanked H.E. Chea Vuthy for sharing the update on Cambodia’s investment environment and potential.
IKEA is considering Cambodia as a market to expand its investment, he said.
IKEA Group made 26.5 billion euros in revenue in 2024, and in Southeast Asia, it has been investing in countries including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam.
