PHNOM PENH: On Tuesday, October 31, 2023, the Innovation and Development Investors Association “IDI” and ID Capital Plc. “IDC” led by Dr. Hor Sereyvath, Chairman of the Boards of IDI and IDC organized an orientation and greeting for the delegates joining the Cambodia Business Delegation to the United States, which will take place from November 7-13, 2023.
The event was presided over by His Excellency Buon Sarak Mony, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce, Mr. An Moses, Economic and Commercial Councilor at the Embassy of the United States of America in Cambodia, Mr. Devin Barta, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia, and Ms. Ros Tep Monineath, Senior Manager and representative from Khmer Enterprise.
In his remark, Dr. Sereyvath stated that the upcoming business trip to the United States is another initiative after organizing the seminar on “Food Exports to the United States” in December 2022 and the previous version of the ”Cambodia Business Delegation Visit to the United States” in March 2023, both conducted to provide a platform of communication between buyers and sellers and to increase technical knowledge over basic requirements and export-related requirements as well as standards, production and packaging of food products with the objective of boosting food product exports to the US market.
H.E. Buon Sarak Mony shared appreciation towards IDI’s effort in organizing such a visit and advised the delegation members to seize the opportunity to establish the business network and to introduce their products to the participants, which can lead to the increase of trade between the two countries.
On top of that, His Excellency also urged the delegates to exemplify the investment potentials and investment law of Cambodia, allowing foreign investors to possess 100% equity on top of the ease of remittance of profits made from investments in Cambodia to their home countries.
In collaboration with ID Capital Plc. (IDC), Khmer Enterprise (KE), the American Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (AmCham), and the Cambodia Business Delegation to the United States on November 7th to 13th, 2023, will bring the participants to the Cambodia Business Expo & Trade Conference which is anticipated to be attended by hundreds of Asian business professionals and practitioners from multiple US states as well as industry leaders who will shape the future of their sector.
Additionally, multiple closed-door seminars designed to offer comprehension of the US Customs Clearance and FDA, Food Hygiene, HACCP, GMP, Food Control, and cold chain logistics will be part of the program.
